Teacher Training
I offer customized teacher training in 1:1 private sessions, with a specialization in musical theatre and pop/rock singing. I’ll watch you teach live (or review a recording), and offer verbal and/or written feedback. These are single sessions, no ongoing commitment.
I believe in a pluralistic and inclusive pedagogical approach; I even wrote a book about it! My objective is to help you define and meet your specific goals for your teaching. I pull from a broad spectrum of research, training, and experience to tailor my feedback in support of your goals.

I also work in both a university setting and an independent studio, so I understand these two worlds. I can help with annual reviews, progress toward tenure, and external reviews, and help with the ins and outs of running an independent studio.
Rates: $200 for observation and verbal feedback. $250 for observation and written feedback. $150/45-min for subject-specific tutorial.
All instruction is offered via Zoom.
Singing Instruction
I welcome music theatre, pop, rock, folk, singer-songwriter, country, (and more) singers of all levels in an inclusive and positive atmosphere, with instruction tailored for each student.
My ideal clients are -
Musical theatre singers of all ages
Adult avocational singers of all levels and styles, especially those who have been reluctant to use their voices in the past.
Lesson rates: Ongoing students - $70 for 30 minutes or $90 for 45 minutes. Drop-in students - $80 for 30 minutes or $100 for 45 minutes.
Recommendations for length: Students age 12-16 can select either 30- or 45-minute lessons on a case-by-case basis. Students age 16 and up should select 45-minute lessons.
All instruction is offered via Zoom.
College Audition Prep: Test run your songs
I want to help you feel awesome about your audition songs. With several years of hearing college music theatre program auditions as a professor, and even more years of experience preparing my private high school students for those auditions, I know what it’s like on both sides of the table. Send me videos of your audition songs (up to 5 minutes) and I will provide feedback within 7 days ($45). You also have the option to book a 20-minute chat about your material after I’ve seen it ($30). Let’s take your songs for a test run!
